How to sell on Trendyol in the UAE and Saudi Arabia
· 8 min read · Selling abroad
Short answer: Yes, you can sell on Trendyol in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, either as a local seller with a business in the country or as a non-local seller shipping from abroad. Local sellers need a UAE Trade License or a Saudi Commercial Registration (CR), plus a resident VAT number. Non-local sellers need their home-country business registration and a non-resident VAT certificate for the country they sell into, and they ship each order directly to the customer as a personal import. Registration runs through Trendyol's Gulf seller form, and once you are live you can manage your Trendyol store and your other marketplaces from one panel.
Local or non-local: which one are you?
Trendyol draws a clear line between the two, in both countries:
- Business presence — Local seller: Inventory or commercial activity in the UAE mainland / in KSA; Non-local seller: Legal entity, office and inventory outside the country
- Registration — Local seller: UAE Trade License or Saudi CR; Non-local seller: Business registration number from your home country
- VAT — Local seller: UAE or KSA resident VAT number; Non-local seller: UAE or KSA non-resident VAT certificate, with your local registration office or agent
- Shipping — Local seller: From your local stock; Non-local seller: Directly from abroad or an eligible free-trade zone, imported as a personal import in the customer's name
As a non-local seller you may store order packages temporarily for fulfilment, but you must not hold stock or run commercial activity in the country. If that changes, Trendyol asks you to stop selling until you hold the local licences.
What you need to register as a non-local seller
According to Trendyol's policy pages, you provide:
- Your business registration number from your country of origin.
- Your official business name and address outside the UAE mainland / outside KSA.
- A copy of your non-resident VAT certificate for the UAE or KSA, with details of your local registration office or agent.
- A contact person and email address.
You also accept Trendyol's standard seller terms and declare that your business model matches the non-local definition.
Products non-local sellers cannot list
Trendyol restricts ("gates") what non-local sellers may sell. The policy names, among others:
- Pharmaceuticals, medical devices and unapproved health supplements
- Certain food and beverage products
- Cosmetics and personal care items
- Electronics that need certification (in KSA, for example, SASO)
- Products on the customs prohibited list or that pose a safety risk
Trying to get around these rules by listing a product in the wrong category leads to immediate and permanent suspension, according to the policy.
Your obligations after the first sale
- Invoices: Issue a locally compliant invoice for every order, showing the total price with all taxes and fees, and the date and place of delivery.
- VAT and customs: You are responsible for VAT and for customs and product-compliance rules on every sale.
- After-sales: Complaints, warranty claims, returns and refunds are yours to handle, in line with the UAE and KSA e-commerce and consumer laws.

Managing Trendyol alongside Noon and Amazon
Most Gulf sellers don't sell on one marketplace only. Pratienda brings your marketplace stores into one panel: stock stays in sync, orders arrive in one list, customer questions are answered from one screen, and the repricer suggests prices without going below your floor price. Prices never change without your approval. For your Trendyol Gulf account and marketplaces such as Noon and Amazon.sa or Amazon.ae, we set up the connection with you.
FAQ
Can I sell in Saudi Arabia without a Saudi company?
Yes, as a non-local seller, if your entity, office and inventory are outside KSA, you hold a KSA non-resident VAT certificate, and your products are not on the restricted list.
Can I keep stock in a UAE warehouse as a non-local seller?
No. Only temporary storage of order packages for fulfilment is allowed. Holding inventory in the UAE mainland makes you a local seller, who needs a Trade License and a resident VAT number.
What does Trendyol charge in the Gulf?
Trendyol shows commission and payment terms to sellers in Seller Center; they are not published on the public policy pages. Check them there before pricing. For how the Trendyol commission rate and fees work on Trendyol in Turkey, see our separate guide.
