Trendyol commission rate: where to find yours, how it is calculated and what else you pay

· 14 min read · Fees and commissions

Short answer: Trendyol does not publish one commission rate for everyone. Your rate depends on the product's category, its brand and your commercial level as a seller, and it can even differ between variants of the same product. You find the rate that applies to you in the Seller Panel, on the Commercial Terms screen (Ticari Şartlar), in the Commission & Payment Term Table (Komisyon & Vade Tablosu). Trendyol states that commission rates include VAT. The commission is calculated on the price the item actually sold for, so a campaign price lowers it too. On top of commission, each order carries a fixed platform service fee per shipment, shipping costs and, in Turkey, a 1% e-commerce withholding tax; a dashboard that shows the commission and fees on every order saves you from adding these up by hand.

Where to find your Trendyol commission rate

According to Trendyol's Seller Information Center for Turkey, there are three ways:

  • Categories you already sell in: Seller Panel > Commercial Terms (Ticari Şartlar) > Commission & Payment Term Table.
  • Categories you don't sell in yet: On the same screen, switch the category filter to "all categories", or download the table as a PDF.
  • Rates by commercial level: In the same table. Trendyol says rates can change with your commercial level (Ticari Seviye).

You will find many "Trendyol commission rates 2026" lists online. They rarely agree with each other, because the real rate depends on brand, level and variant. Use them for a rough idea at most, and set your prices from the table in your own panel.

How the Trendyol commission is calculated

Trendyol's own explanation is simple: multiply the commission rate of the category by the current sale price of the product.

Commission = sale price x commission rate

Trendyol's example:

  • Product price: 100 TL
  • Commission rate: 20%
  • Commission: 20 TL

When you join a campaign, the price changes for the campaign period and the commission follows the price you actually sold at:

  • Product price: 100 TL
  • Campaign price: 90 TL
  • Commission rate: 20%
  • Commission: 18 TL

Because the rate includes VAT, Trendyol invoices the commission on VAT-inclusive amounts and says you do not pay extra VAT on top of it.

Commission fee vs platform service fee

These are two different charges, and sellers coming from other marketplaces often mix them up:

  • Commission fee: a percentage of the sale. Trendyol describes it as the price of the value it adds while your product reaches the customer, and it varies by category, brand and commercial level.
  • Platform service fee: a fixed amount per shipment, covering the technology and running costs behind the customer experience.

The fixed fee matters most on cheap items. A 100 TL product and a 1,000 TL product pay the same fixed amount, so on the cheaper one it eats a much bigger share of the price. Trendyol's public page does not state the amount; check it in your panel before you price low-cost products.

Discounted commission for new sellers

Trendyol says that if you upload your first product within 15 days of applying to the platform, the "Specialised Group Sellers" rates (Özelleşmiş Grup Satıcılar) in the Commission & Payment Term Table apply to you for 2 months. There is also a separate rate for women entrepreneurs: you contact Seller Support, send the documents they ask for and receive the "Women Entrepreneur" badge (Kadın Girişimci).

When commission is invoiced and when you get paid

Trendyol's Seller Information Center describes the cycle like this:

  • Commission invoices are issued in 7-day periods, on the 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th and 30th/31st of each month. An order is included in the first commission invoice after it is delivered.
  • Returns: the commission on a returned order is offset on the next commission invoice; you do not issue a separate return invoice for it.
  • Payouts are made twice a week. Orders whose payment term ends on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday are paid on Thursday; those ending Thursday to Sunday are paid on Monday.
  • Payment term: the term starts when the order is delivered. Your term per category is in the same Commission & Payment Term Table, next to the commission rate.
  • Where to check deductions: the Payments pages under Finance in the Seller Panel show shipping, commission and penalty deductions per payout day, and the order records page shows them order by order.

Don't forget the 1% e-commerce withholding tax

Since 1 January 2025, Turkish law requires marketplaces such as Trendyol to withhold tax from their payments to sellers. According to Trendyol:

  • The rate is 1% of the sale amount excluding VAT.
  • Example from Trendyol: a 120 TL product with 20% VAT has a net amount of 100 TL, so the withholding is 1 TL.
  • It is not an extra tax for income and corporate taxpayers: it can be offset against the tax due on their returns, and refunded if it is higher than the tax due.
  • Some sellers are exempt if they send the right documents, for example sellers taxed under the simplified method, tax-exempt tradespeople and certain content creators.

You can see the withheld amounts in the Payments pages and in your account statement. Ask your accountant how this applies to your business; this is not tax advice.

A worked example: what is left from one sale?

Here is how the deductions stack up. All figures are assumptions for illustration; your real rate and fees are in your panel.

  • Sale price (VAT included, 20% VAT) — 1,200 TL
  • Commission at an assumed 20% — -240 TL
  • E-commerce withholding (1% of 1,000 TL net) — -10 TL
  • Platform service fee (fixed per shipment) — from your panel
  • Shipping (depends on your agreement and parcel size) — from your panel
  • VAT you owe on the sale — -200 TL
  • What remains before product cost, service fee and shipping — 750 TL

The withholding can be offset later, so it is a cash-flow item more than a cost, and the VAT included in Trendyol's commission and fee invoices may be deductible as input VAT; your accountant can confirm both. Still, "I sold for 1,200 TL" and "I have 1,200 TL" are very different statements, and the gap grows on cheaper products where the fixed fee weighs more.

How to keep commission from eating your margin

  • Price with the full picture. Set a floor price that covers commission, the platform service fee, shipping and product cost, and never go below it, even when chasing the buy box.
  • Check rates variant by variant. The same product can carry different rates across variants.
  • Bundle cheap items. Sets and multipacks spread the fixed per-shipment fee over a bigger basket.
  • Recheck after your level changes. Rates can change with your commercial level.
  • Read the campaign terms. Your commission follows the campaign price, so a discount lowers both your revenue and the commission, but not the fixed fees.
  • Reconcile with what was actually charged. Compare your estimates with the deductions in the Payments pages; that is where differences show up.
